Once a model has been developed, it can be automated and economically applied throughout the USA. Data from new units can be used to further refine and calibrate the model.

After the model is developed...

  • Use the model to forecast sales for new locations. If designed to use nationally available data, the model can be used throughout the US.
  • Use the model for target marketing purposes. As seen on the prior page, differences between forecast and actual can indicate the need for a change in the marketing program.   
  • The forecasted market share for each neighborhood is shown below. To forecast sales, multiply the forecasted market share by the forecasted sales potential.
